Brandi May

Camp Director

Hello! My name is Brandi May. I am the Director for Camp Norwesca. I was born in Omaha, NE and raised in South Central Nebraska. I attended college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-8th Grade. I moved to the Chadron, NE area in the fall of 2017 when my husband became the assistant superintendent of Chadron State Park. Before we moved, we lived at Windmill State Recreation Area located just East of Kearney, Nebraska

I have been employed at Camp Norwesca since 2018. My first position was a part time office assistant while I was substitute teaching for the public schools. In the fall of 2020 I became the assistant director. In March of 2022, I earned the honor of Director.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our newest addtion to our family, our son; Timothy. I enjoy traveling, baking, fishing, and gardening. When I am not at camp, you can probably find me sitting out in my gardens where my faithful dogs watch my every move or planning a trip to Florida where we like to escape the snow every year.

I attended Camp Carol Joy Holling (NLOM) throughout my childhood and into my teen years where I grew my passion for God and the outdoors. I have always had a strong connection with combining my beliefs and my love for the outdoors. I am very excited for this opportunity to not only grow my faith within the United Methodist Church and the Great Plains Conference, but to combine my passion for teaching, and the dedication I have of connecting God with my excitement for the outdoors. Camp Norwesca is where my next chapter begins and can not wait.

Jacci

Facility Administrator

Hello there, and thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me and our wonderful staff here at Norwesca.

I am Jacci - a Colorado native that has recently transplanted to the wonderful state of Nebraska with my family. We were drawn to this area because of the atmosphere, outdoor recreation, small town mindset, and family values!

You can find me participating in various school activities, building legos with my kids, reading, hiking, shooting my bow, attending church and enjoying time at camp.

During my youth I enjoyed 4-H, where I raised poultry and swine. Agriculture holds a special place in my heart. Growing up I was involved in NHS, vet science, cheerleading and more. That is why, as a young adult I earned degrees in the arts and education.

I am looking forward to learning more about the community and integrating our family in Dawes County.
