How can YOU help?

    Your continued support is appreciated!

Ways to donate or help are many and greatly needed in God’s many ministries at Camp to children, youth, adults and especially families. Elsewhere on this website you can see the many activities and opportunities for growth as Camp Norwesca impacts lives through intentional Christian community. We greatly appreciate your help and offer the following opportunities for you to provide your support.

  • Eagle Scout Projects:

    • Any scout working to achieve the Eagle Scout rank must complete the required Eagle Service Project. Camp Norwesca offers the chance for any scout to expand his service to others, outside of Scouting, in the community. Contact the Camp Norwesca office to arrange for an Eagle Project. Below is a list of service projects as of 11/1/2022 available at Camp Norwesca:

      • Picnic Tables-scraped, painted, rebuilt

      • Hayrack Ride-scraped and re-painted

      • Lodge-scraped and re-painted

      • New Seating at Chapel Campfire Area

      • Butterfly Garden

      • New Wood Chips on trails

  • UMVIM > United Methodist Volunteers In Mission

    • UMVIM is a grassroots movement within The United Methodist Church designed to provide an official channel whereby Christians, both lay and clergy, may offer their skills and talents for Christian service at home and around the world on short term assignments at their own expense.

    • Camp Norwesca can host volunteer work groups throughout the year. Our lodge has 16 guest rooms with two twin-sized beds and shared restrooms, sleeping 32 people total. RV pads with hookups are available at Chadron State Park, just 3/4 mile down the road for volunteer work groups. Water is available end of March through mid-November at RV pads when weather is typically above freezing.  Contact the camp to identify work needs and potential projects.

  • Safe Gatherings

    • All volunteers working with children and youth must take and pass the Safe Gatherings training online.  Be prepared to list a clergy and laity reference.  Obtain email and phone number information for your references.  INFORM YOUR REFERENCES that you are using them as references and encourage them to complete their reference quickly, it will be emailed to them.  Cost is $35.  Register and take training by going to https://www.safegatherings.com/.

“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

— Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
