Why travel across the world when you can make a lasting difference right here at home? Camp Norwesca invites church groups to experience meaningful mission trips that combine hands-on service, faith-based fellowship, and outdoor adventure—right in the heart of Northwestern Nebraska.

What's Included?

  • 6 nights / 7 days lodging in cabins and/or retreat center

  • 3 hot meals per day + snacks 

We make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs

  • Recreation, Devotion and Worship Space Available

  • Full use of camp facilities: chapel, fire pit, hiking trails, playground, and indoor meeting spaces

  • Project coordination and materials for community-based service (when applicable)

  • Staff support for orientation, service planning, recreation, and group needs

  • Comprehensive safety training

  • Community service certificate

  • Project site coordination

  • Participant t-shirt

Intergenerational Church Teams

Minimum Group Size: 6
Maximum Group Size: ~40 (may be split into teams)

Sample Schedule

  • Day 1: Arrival, orientation, campfire worship

  • Days 2–4: AM service project | PM rec time + worship

  • Day 5: Local excursion to Black Hills or State Parks

  • Day 6: Final project + closing worship

  • Day 7: Departure after breakfast

Each day includes built-in time for rest, bonding, and exploration.

Schedule:

A "typical" day at Group Workcamp involves serving others, "God Sightings," daily devotions, and interactive worship programs. Your schedule will look similar to this:

Breakfast. Gather tools. Fill water jugs. Pack coolers with lunches

8 a.m

Morning program. Depart for sites. Work on project. Lunch and crew devotions

3:30 p.m

Return to the lodging facility. Camp store is open. Report progress. Recreation/free time

5–6:30 p.m

Service Project Options

Reservation Outreach
Partner with Pine Ridge or Oglala ministries to:

  • Run youth day camps or VBS

  • Prepare and deliver food boxes

  • Do light home repairs and elder assistance

State Parks & Forest Projects

  • Trail maintenance and cleanup

  • Painting & signage restoration

  • Invasive species management

Camp Norwesca Projects

  • Groundskeeping & beautification

  • Help lead camp day programs

  • Support camp events

Community Outreach

  • Volunteer with local food pantries and thrift stores

  • Support youth or family outreach through churches

  • Help coordinate seasonal community events

Standard Group Rates (All-Inclusive)

Youth Mission Groups with Adult Sponsors: $400 per person

Included in Rate:

  • 6 nights / 7 days lodging in bunkhouses or retreat center

  • 3 hot meals per day + snacks

  • Full use of camp facilities: chapel, fire pit, hiking trails, playground, and indoor meeting spaces

  • Project coordination and materials for community-based service (when applicable)

Black Hills / Rushmore Day Trip $15–$30/person

Custom program supplies $5–$15/person 

The nearby town of Chadron, Nebraska offers some shopping, dining, and other activities.

Your group may also plan a side-trip to the Badlands National ParkMount Rushmore National Memorial, or any of the many attractions in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

*Excursions and program customizations arranged in advance.

Payment Plan & Support

Deposit: $50 per person: within 14 days of registration

Mid-Payment: 50% of total cost: within 90 days before arrival

Final Payment: Remaining balance: 30 days before arrival

*Custom timelines available for early registrants or special requests.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another participant

  • 60+ days before arrival: Full refund (minus deposit)

  • 30–59 days before: 50% refund

  • Less than 30 days: No refund
