Junior Counselor
Want to become a junior counselor? Young adults that are 16-18 years old can apply for a two week, unpaid internship to work "behind the scenes" with campers and help in the kitchen and on grounds.
During this week you will learn how to facilitate and teach all camp activities. This will also include how to lead worship and Bible studies, as well as how to debrief and relate each activity to God. As part of leadership training, Junior Counselors will also explore and learn to teach and guide campers through key aspects of Camp Norwesca's curriculum including horsemanship, water activities, group led hikes and self-reflection. Junior Counselors will come for a couple days of staff training for “mini trainings." Junior Counselors must fill out a staff application and complete our mandatory safe gatherings training. Junior Counselors will receive staff t-shirts and their own junior counselor t-shirt.
