Leadership in Training Program
(L.I.T. Program)

Calling all 14- & 15-year-olds!

Camp provides a unique opportunity for young people to develop leadership skills that can be used at home, school and in the community — not just at camp. LITs (ages 14-15) focus on working with younger campers and contributing to the community. This program helps young people build their skills, confidence, and capacity for leading people of all ages. The LIT program is for those youth that are 14 and 15 years old and are looking for an opportunity to start building leadership and career skills in a fun environment. While they are still considered campers, LITs are treated similarly to camp staff to provide an immersive, professional experience. This approach grants LITs opportunities to create a lesson, lead an activity, or be tasked with other camp-related duties while still enjoying their favorite camp activities! Many of these skills are transferable and can be used by participants in their future career endeavors. In addition, LIT participants will learn the many skills required to be a successful Counselor-in-Training (CIT) in subsequent years. This NEW program will be offered each week of our Main Camps.
