Counselor in Training

Are you a young adult aged 16-18 looking to gain valuable experience and leadership skills? Apply for our Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) program—a two-week, unpaid internship where you'll work "behind the scenes" at Camp Norwesca, assisting with campers, kitchen duties, and grounds maintenance.

During your C.I.T. experience, you'll:

Learn to Facilitate Camp Activities: Gain hands-on experience in teaching and leading all camp activities, from worship and Bible studies to various camp programs.

Develop Leadership Skills: Explore how to effectively guide and support campers, including leading horsemanship, water activities, group hikes, and self-reflection sessions.

Engage in Curriculum Training: Dive into Camp Norwesca's curriculum to understand and teach key aspects of our program.

Participate in Training: Attend a "mini training" day with the camp staff to prepare for your role, and complete our mandatory safe gatherings training to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

This opportunity is perfect for those looking to develop leadership skills, deepen their understanding of camp operations, and make a meaningful impact on fellow campers. Apply now to start your journey as a Counselor in Training!
