Camp Norwesca’s Day Camp Weeks' are the perfect opportunity for kids to enjoy all the best parts of camp—without staying overnight! Designed for campers in Kindergarten through 8th grade, this action-packed week offers a variety of engaging activities tailored to each age group.
Every day features a unique theme that brings new challenges, games, and experiences. Campers will explore the great outdoors, unleash their creativity through arts and crafts, develop teamwork skills, and make new friends. They'll also enjoy classic camp activities like archery, hiking, campfire songs, and water games. Our dedicated and trained staff create a safe, welcoming, and faith-filled environment where campers can grow in confidence, leadership, and friendships.
No need to worry about meals—we provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks! Plus, every camper will receive a Camp Norwesca t-shirt, bag, and water bottle to commemorate their week of adventure. Transportation is available for families in Chadron, with convenient pick-up and drop-off directly from your home.

Daily Themes
Week 1:
Discovering God in the Wilderness
🌲 Monday – Entering the Wilderness
Begin the adventure with nature scavenger hunts, compass skills, and “wilderness jars” as we discover how God leads us into new experiences.
🛡 Tuesday – Facing the Unknown
Challenge yourself with blindfold trust walks, obstacle courses, slip ‘n’ slide relays, and craft “wilderness shields” to remind you that God equips us to be brave.
🌱 Wednesday – God Provides in the Wilderness
Cook with solar ovens, try seed-growing experiments, explore the creek, and make clay bowls, discovering how God provides for our daily needs.
💧 Thursday – Strength for the Journey
Enjoy water filtration experiments, wilderness relay challenges, and prayer stone crafts, ending the day with campfire-style worship to celebrate God’s presence.

Growing Together in the Wilderness
🔥 Monday – The Wilderness Shapes Us
Explore how God calls us in unexpected ways with a fire science demo, group mural art, sponge soak games, and fiery crafts.
🛡 Tuesday – Courage in the Wilderness
Build catapults, take on a water wall challenge, play capture the flag, and create crowns or survival bracelets to remember God’s strength in us.
🤝 Wednesday – The Wilderness is Community
Experiment with bread rising, play water balance games, complete team food challenges, and decorate quilt squares to create a shared camp community quilt.
👣 Thursday – God Goes With Us
Track animals, play slip ‘n’ slide kickball, tackle an adventure race, and make a “Footprints of Faith” banner, finishing with celebration worship and a talent show.
